From active service to retirement, the Warrior For Life Fund will support our warriors by providing programs and infrastructure that help military families from all service branches cope with the unique challenges of combat, extended deployments, disabilities and the long lasting effects of war through the game of hockey while ensuring the bond of their service remains unbroken. The Warrior For Life Fund will memorialize the history and heritage of military service and honor those who have unselfishly given the ultimate sacrifice.

2019 Face Off For Heroes 

Saturday, October 26th at Bentley Arena in Waltham, MA

The Warrior for Life Fund, in partnership with the Boston Bruins Foundation and benefiting the Navy SEAL Foundation, is pleased to announce the inaugural Alumni Classic-Face Off for Heroes hockey game between the Boston Bruins and New York Rangers Alumni will take place 1:00pm on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Bentley Arena in Waltham, MA.

The game will benefit the Warrior for Life Fund with NHL Hall of Famer’s Ray Bourque, Joe Mullen, Brian Leetch, Glen Anderson, Brad Park (Coach), Jean Ratelle (Coach) & Rod Gilbert (Coach) as well as Bruins and Rangers notables Rick Middleton, Jay Miller, Reggie Lemelin, Ken Linseman, Bob Sweeney, Andrew Alberts, Dave Shaw, Andrew Raycroft, Bruce Crowder, Frank Simonetti, Mike Mottau , Mark Mowers, Dan LaCouture, Adam Graves, Ron Duguay, Brad Richards, Brian Mullen, Jeff Beukeboom, Stephane Matteau, Jay Wells, Steve Eminger, Colton Orr, Tom Laidlaw, and Steve Valiquette anticipated to attend.

Capital Campaign: Warrior Ice Center

Background:

The Warrior For Life Fund, in collaboration with the Navy SEAL Foundation, aims to raise 3.5 million dollars in order to build the Warrior Ice Center: a two-sheet iceplex and community facility. The center will host programs to support the unique needs of military families, while easing the difficulties associated with deployment, combat, disability, and re-acclimation into society. The Warrior Ice Center will serve the local military community and civilians in and around Virginia Beach, Virginia, which is home to the largest concentration of active duty and retired military personnel in the world.

Support for Gold Star families who’ve lost a loved one in combat

ACTIVE LIFESTYLE

Activities to help families cope with and stay active during a parent / spouse deployment

MENTORSHIP

Mentorship, life guidance and social skill development for children of deployed soldiers.

POST-SERVICE SUPPORT

Post deployment decompression, re-engagement and assimilation

TRANSITION SUPPORT

Transition support for retiree’s to maintain bond / connection with their community

Memorial hockey games to honor fallen Navy SEALs and their families
